In a strike of the purest serendipity, today is Party Day at work. The normal schedule has been suspended in favor of festivity, with a soupçon of pomp, and it couldn't be better timed. The heat has broken, the weather is gorgeous, the kids are with Mama, and the only thing on my plate is literally what's on my plate. And in my glass.
I don't imagine I'll be in the best shape to do much writing today.
